NYIT College of Osteophathic Medicine Student Chapter
American Osteopathic College of Radiology (AOCR)
Mission: The NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine Student Chapter of AOCR is a group representing students interested in the specialty of Radiology. It is the goal of this group to encourage further learning in the discipline of Radiology through scholastic learning, networking, and career enrichment opportunities. It is our hope to provide students with a meaningful experience and introduction to the field and its place within Medicine.
National Organization: http://www.aocr.org/
Our Chapter: There will be a variety of workshops and lectures throughout the year focusing on a number of different topics. As of this time, formal dates and/or titles of these events are to be determined. Many of our events rely upon the availability of private practice physicians as well as Radiology residents to come speak at our events; thus, scheduling is done closer to desired date. Additionally, our adviser Dr. Beatty is active within the club and seeks to provide a greater overall experience for interested students.
