Long Island Cares Volunteer Event

On November 2, 2014, in Community Outreach, by NYIT-COM SGA

A group of NYIT-COM students went out to the Hemlock Elementary School to hand out prepared bags of food to families in need on Saturday November 1st, 2014. Some of the packages of nonperishable foods had been prepared by NYIT-COM students on two previous events. During those times over 800 bags of food were created for families in need within the Brentwood School District. The program is a pilot by the Long Island Cares foodbank to bring food to families within need, and the program has been promoted throughout the local schools.
