The first SOMA meeting of this academic school year took place on September 4th. We welcomed all our new members and handed out the Netter’s Atlas of Anatomy to all those who had not yet received it. Our adviser, Dr. Broder, was introduced and shared a few words with the group. We also presented on what SOMA is, why to join, what its members can do, and what SOMA can do for its members. More information about the various leadership opportunities, career development workshops, mentoring programs, national conventions, and SOMA benefits (as discussed at the meeting) can be found on the SOMA website: www.studentdo.com.
At this meeting, our First Year Representative was elected.
Congratulations, Eric Chan!
We are always welcoming new members, so please remember that it’s not too late to join! Also, we are still laying out our final plans for meetings, community service events, and social events for this year. If you have any suggestions please contact the e-Board.
