Since introducing the idea on Friday, August 17, 2012, team NYCOM running in the race has begun to grow and the idea has been met with a great deal of enthusiasm. Advertising will continue until the race day to build support for the cause.
Dr. Scandalis discussed the mission of the Hope for Warriors organization and NYCOM’s participation with Michelle Obama’s PTSD initiative. NYCOM and a number of other US medical schools are committed to ensuring that PTSD among combat veterans be incorporated into pre-clinical education.
