Classmates and colleagues,
We URGENTLY need your help to protect GME Medical Resident Funding NOW!
The Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (“Super Committee”) is finalizing its decision on federal funding cuts including drastic decreases in funding for graduate medical education (GME) in one week, by November 23rd.
Together with students, residents and physicians nationwide from AACOM, AOA, COSGP, SOMA, AAMC, AMA, AMSA, and many other groups, we need your help to call your Members of Congress tomorrow, November 17th, to oppose federal funding cuts that would limit access to medical residency training programs.
Calling WILL make a difference and preserve your opportunities for access to Graduate Medical Education Residency Programs!
Calling is easy and takes 2 minutes of your time.
1. Click on the link below and type in your zip code.
a. AACOM Advocacy Alert Link: http://capwiz.com/aacom/
2. An “Action Alert” will pop up giving clear instructions:

Join your fellow medical students, residents, and physician mentors from all over the country in making a statement! Thank you for your commitment to preserving medical education training for generations of future physicians.
Please forward this email to all students, residents, physicians and friends who support graduate medical education residency training now and in the future.
With sincerest thanks,
